Commonly asked questions
1. Why should I park my RV inside?
Some people ask why they should park their RV inside, instead of outside. The obvious reason is the sun, Especially California. There are about 300 sunny days in California. Do you want the sun beating down on the paint? Parking your rig inside definitely will protect the paint from the sun. It could potentially save tens of thousands of dollars over the course of you owning your RV. Another reason to park your investment inside, is the tires. To replace all of your tires can run you in to the mid thousands of dollars. The cost of paring your RV inside is, most of the time, less than half of that. Not to mention safety. Cracked tires cause plenty of accidents each year. Parking inside doesn’t let the sun dry out the rubber. Another common reason to park inside is the environment, rain, wind, kids…etc. Having your RV parked safely inside a building ensures that none of these nuisances harm the RV.
2. Will I use my RV enough?
RVs are typically used for camping/vacation, but that doesnt limit you to what you can and can not use it for. If some relatives are visiting and you don’t have enough rooms for them it is a great place to keep them. Also if you play sports and have a game out of town; having an RV gives you and advantage of not having to pay for the pricey hotels. If you own an Rv and just use it for that once a year vacation then Indoor RV Storage is a great place for you to keep your rig while its not being used.
3. Do you do repair paint jobs?
Yes, Indoor Rv Coach Storage does in fact repair body and paint jobs. Some individuals think they can do it by themselves, but why risk destroying something so precious as your Rv? The smarter ideal thing to do is take it to get done so that when its finished you will be satisfied with high quality work instead of questioning why you took matters into your own hands. Maybe your one of the few who lets years pass by before taking your rig in. If your one of those people, take into consideration that even by taking precautions your Rv will accumulate daily wear and tear that should be fixed so you could have great pride in your rig.
4. Why should I take my Rv in to repair the roof?
Over time, our rig changes a little and we want it back to normal. One might notice a leak in the roof and decides they would like to patch it up. Say you patch it yourself and everything looks ok until the next time you go out on vacation and realize that the Rv roof is once again leaking. Rather than enjoying that wonderful vacation your stuck patching up something that could of been avoided. Bringing your rig in to someone ensures high standing work that you will not have to worry about for awhile or if ever.
5. Where can I purchase parts?
While parking you rig inside the storage you might remember that you needed some parts to keep your RV running smoothly. Rather than going to some place and taking matters into your own hands, why not talk to the people that are watching your rig? Not only will they help in every way possible, but you will be satisfied in how quick they will tend to your individual needs.
6. How often should I service my RV appliances?
The recommended time of servicing your rigs appliances would be once a year even if stored. Although its stored insects could create an irregular operation of the appliances such as furnaces, water heaters, and refrigerators.
7. How often should travel trailers/5th wheels have a complete service?
The 5th wheels should have a complete service once a year or after every 10,000 towed miles to protect you from a blow out or further accidents.
8. If I have repairs or upgrades done to my RV, how long can I expect to not have it for?
The timeframe depends on what level of service you order. Estimated ( and these are only estimates) are as follows:
Level 1 Paint: 2 weeks
Level 2 Paint: 3 weeks
Level 3 Paint: 4 weeks
Headlight and Taillight changes: 5 business days
Please note: If you are having taillights and headlights changes during a paint job, it will be done concurrent; so no more time is lost.
